Each summer, our family camps in Jamestown, Colorado. We take a short hike to a small waterfall where you see igneous as well as metamorphic rocks. There are granite rocks which are igneous. Most of them are grayish and pinkish, so one can conclude that their composition is Felsic and Intermediate. There is an old mica mine near by, and you can sometimes see mica within the rocks.
Their texture is porphyritic.
