Axel Perez Week 8 Global Warming- vancouver british columbia

I decided to take a time traveling machine and visit the beautiful city of Vancouver, British Columbia. It is one of Canada's most diverse cities. It has people coming from all different types of ethnically backgrounds. The place is surrounded by mountains and also has a thriving musical scene and art scene. Unfortunate, 5000 years in the future, the earth did not cool down. Much of the city had to be adapted to float on the water that eventually started over taking it. Most of the polar ice caps have melted completely or fully melted which released a lot of water into the ocean. As well, the water has expanded due to the temperature of the water increasing from the earth's temperature increasing. We helped the earth increase its temperature at a lot greater rate due to our burning of fossil fuel. As well as some natural effects made global warming increase at a faster rate such as the 11 year solar cycle. Volcano activity also helped with the earth's temperature increasing.

One thing that society has tried to do to prevent global warming or reduce the rate of it is to focus on national climate change policies being implemented. Getting the world to work together and agree that this is a problem was the biggest factor. Overall, it was great seeing this place in the future and even though some of it didn't exist due to the water levels rising, the future technology managed to save it!
