Week 2 Igneous Rocks

In week 2 we were able to examine and learn about igneous rocks and how they are formed. They form when hot, molten rock crystalizes and solidifies. My favorite type of igneous rock is volcanic rock or magma. This type of rock forms when lava cools at or near to the Earth's surface. A famous national park that I researched is in the state of Hawaii where many volcanoes are present. I have been to Hawaii before but never got the chance to visit a volcanic site. The park is called Hawaii Volcanoes National park. It recently had a volcanic reaction on April 26th 2018 lava began to flow onto the summit eventually collapsing creating the eruption of Kileaua creating earth quakes. I actually was able to see the explosion from a video online. it was very interesting! I have attached the link here if anyone was interested in watching!
