Looking at Golden Canyon, it is amazing that floodwaters can carry such large boulders, as seen in the image. I would wonder what kind of rocks the boulders are and where they traveled from. I could collect data such as the size, composition, color, grain size and hardness to identify them and then learn more about the region to discover where similar rocks might be found.
It is really neat to be able to see the erosion done by waves from so long ago, as you can at Shoreline Butte. I would be curios to know what kind of sediments might have been left along the strandlines where the waves used to crash. This might be accomplished by taking a look at the rocks found on the strandlines and identifying them.
The Amargosa Chaos has seen many incredible changes of the eons, I would be interested to see what other changes could be in the future of this area. This could be accomplished by looking at predicted weather changes in the future as well as seeing what changes have occurred in recent history and how this may effect the rocks of the area.
