Week 2 - Late

During my journey to Kenya I decided to take a tour of Hell’s Gate national park. When we first arrived only being there for just a few brief moments I came to understand why the name. The area gives me an odd feeling, and I wasn’t sure if it was due to the volcanic ash or the obsidian laying around everywhere. The park is home to two extinct volcanoes named Olkaria and Hobley which explains the abundance of obsidian, and even obsidian caves. The volcanic ash that can be found in the area is from another volcano nearby named Mount Longonot.  It is definitely worth stopping by if you are ever in Kenya.
