Rhine River - Mike Bruno

This week I decided to visit the Rhine River here in Europe. The Rhine River is perennial in nature which means that it is flowing constantly and does not require rainfall to begin to run. The Rhine is particularly interesting to me because I am told by coworkers that it was used as a natural border between Switzerland and France. The Rhine is a very large river and runs down the west side of Germany. The River likely has a large mineral load flowing through it. The large size of the river leads me to believe the force generated by the flowing water is very strong. The river meanders through its path as seen in the picture included below. This means the river makes a serpentine pattern or a series of half circles made in a line. This pattern also means that flooding is possible near the river. Again, I knew very little about this landmark prior to this week but, I am happy that I have gotten to learn more about the surrounding area here in Germany.
