Week 2 - Igneous Rock - Robbie Ficalora

Back in 2018, my fiancé and I traveled to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico for a vacation at a local resort. During our stay, we made our way to the coast for a boat tour of the Arch of Cabo San Lucas. After a little misstep getting into the boat, we were puttering along with the sea spray in our face.

The formation rises above the water as a kind of oceanic mountain range formed by years upon years of erosion.

The rock itself appears to be granite, due to the course texture and pale color (and a quick Google search to confirm) which would make the Arch of Cabo San Lucas be comprised of intrusive igneous rock.

After about 30min, we cycled back to the shore. I fell into the water, my fiancé laughed and we proceeded back to our hotel room to drink ourselves silly.
