The beautiful and popular water falls in Jamaica, Dunn’s River Fall’s is a spectacular site to see. My husband and I enjoyed a hike up the 180-foot incline through cool rushing water. Beneath the cascading water nature created natural type steps throughout the rock formation (there is minimal manmade steps for safety). The river that leads to the falls which feeds into the ocean is spring water full of calcium carbonate and deposits various types of limestone including (but not limited too) travertine and tufa. This was a beautiful and amazing adventure for my husband and I to do together on our honeymoon while on the beautiful island of Jamaica during the summer of 2014. Just looking at the picture I can hear the steel drum music in my mind.
Photo: The photo is one I took from Dunn’s River Website. I felt it showed more of its beauty without people hiking up the center of the image. It is a real gem for the island.
