Appalachian Mountains Week 6

This week I visited the Appalachian Mountains, located in North Carolina. Growing up as a military brat I got pretty used to seeing this area and visited a few times. They compare it to the Rocky Mountains which has over 50 different peaks, and is approximately 14,000 feet tall. Actually according to scientists, about 200 million years ago before erosion and being weathered, the Appalachians rose to the height of the Himalayans. Making this a great site to see if you go to visit, and a very historical place.
