While there are many spots in the park, there are not a lot of spots where you can see the igneous rock that was formed many years ago. However, I do remember one spot where I am pretty sure we saw igneous rock formations. The reason I think this is because it is a spot where it is kind of cut into the mountain and I know the base of the mountain and rock underneath is igneous for that area.
When I went my friend and I were trying to figure out an area to go and he knew of this place with a very gorgeous waterfall. We took the day to drive up and parked at the top of the mountain and hiked down. Yes I am aware that is not usually how that works, but this spot is not high up. Rather is is a bit far out about mid way up the mountain. Eventually we got there and he was right, the place was gorgeous. We stopped, ate, and then decided to climb the rocks where the waterfall was. I will be honest with you here, that was stupid of us. We did not get hurt, but we easily could have been since the rock was slippery. Afterwards we took some pictures and then headed back. I decided to share a picture below that I took. Enjoy!
