Week 4 - Mayon Volcano

Mayon Volcano is a volcano that is located in the Philippines and is currently active. Noteworthy for looking like a cone, Mayon has a very distinct look even from a glance. Rising to 8,077 feet this volcano is no where near the tallest volcano, but is still fairly large. This volcano has erupted before and claimed many peoples lives multiples times. In one eruption in 1814 over 1,000 people were killed which was the most lives it claimed in a given eruption. It has been both explosive and quiescent in the past. For example, in 2013 after Mayon was quiescence for months a sudden explosion killed multiple tourists and injured others.
