Augustine Alaska Volcano

While in Alaska we thought that we would visit Augustine to see the volcano. However, we didn’t get a chance to but learned some interesting facts about the volcano. The volcano is located in Augustine and it is active. The last recorded eruption was in 2006. It is in the summit lava domes and has
different gasses including water vapor, carbon dioxide and Sulphur dioxide. This reason alone was why our family decided that it was not healthy for any of use to visit since the majority of the family have health issues. After the eruption’s progression from explosive to effusive behavior over several months. The volcano has caused large debris avalanches that have reshaped the island and also have caused tsunamis. There is still more to come from the volcano. There might be minor or major ones coming. Because there is gasses still visible there are chances that there will be more.
