My family and I often travel to Inks Lake State Park to camp in an RV and enjoy the outdoors. The area in Central Texas where I live is mostly made up of limestone and other sedimentary rock. Something I learned while researching the geology of the park is that there is mostly gneiss rock in the area, although it looks a lot like granite. There are still a few areas where granite veins are exposed.
