Trip to Rocky Mountain National Forrest

Earlier this week my friend and I went to the Rocky Mountain National Forrest. We did the Ypsilon Lake hike, where the summit was at roughly 13,000 feet in elevation. Since we were in the mountain we got to see lots of rocks. I know that a lot of the rocks that we saw were sedimentary, due to the fact that there was a stream and a lake near us. I due still think that I saw some igneous rocks along the way though. There were some rocks that looked like they had one plane and a weak hardness. I could be wrong about what I saw during my hike, but it was definitely a worthwhile experience and I hope I can get better at recognizing rocks as I learn more things.
