Week Three - Glaciers - Fair Glacier

One place that I hope to visit one day with my own eyes is Fair Glacier. This alpine glacier is located within the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forest. Getting there is more like a climb than it is a hike, but it might be worth it to get the views of the glacier. The shape of the glacier is U-shaped near the bottom, but I might consider it V shaped near the top half. The rocks that come out to the bottom of the glacier are definitely till. There is mixtures between multiple, unsorted types of sedimentary rocks, which mean that we have a glacial till which was deposited by the glacier. Most of the rock is not very polished, however the bedrock is still visible with striations. The most interesting thing about Fair Glacier are it's surroundings around the forest and it's tall demeanor.
