Week 6 Point Arena Mike Bruno

For this weeks trip I decided to visit Point Arena CA. While observing the location I decided on three pieces of information I would request to further narrow down my understanding of the location. The first major piece of information would be, where else the mineral composition shown on the sides of cliff appears. This information would explain the eras that built the sedimentary deposits that make up this cliff as well as where this land mass might've been connected to another at some point. The next piece of information I would request its the age and composition of the rocks starting from the lowest pictured part of the land mass which will also be the oldest all the way up to where the vegetation begins. Finally, because this monument sits along the San Andrea's fault I would request if there are any volcanoes near this landmark. This would tell me more about the safety of this location as well as identify near by landmarks. Additionally, if this landmark is near a volcano I would assume that you could find rocks created by magma in the area.
