Week 7-Salt Flats Michael Nyadimo

Salt Flats - Death Valley National Park (U.S. National Park Service)
This week i visit death valley in California. I have decided to go and look at the salt flats which is measured to be 200 miles in length Salt flats usually are too harsh for plants and animals to live mainly because if one were to try and cross the surface, the salt could possibly break. One observation that i have made is that the land seems to be quite dry and it is said that the salt water flats in this error have the greatest evaporation rate. The question that i ask myself about the geology here is how was it formed and whether there is an area in another part of the world similar to this slat flat. The additional information that i could get to answer this question is to compare a map of another region and examine their similarities.
