Week 7- Golden Canyon- Sydney Rodriguez

The place I decided to visit this week is Golden Canyon. Information that would be useful in constructing a geological map would be the type of rock and the age of the rock. The rocks are jagged and not smooth because of the river carving them out. The layers also vary in size and color. One observation that I have from this image is the color of the rock and the horizontal lines which means there was no crustal disturbance after deposition to change them from a horizontal line to a tilted line. This makes me wonder why there was no disturbance? In order to figure this out, I would need more information on the ground underneath these areas to see why no disturbance has been caused.
