Week 6 - Cobe Karhoff

Death Valley is one of the most well know deserts in the United States and is known for having the hottest recording temperatures across the globe. 

In order to get further information about Death Valley, I would ask 3 questions about the geologic site. 

Question 1: Are there earthquakes or any faults in the ground? This will tell us about the plate tectonics activity. If earthquakes are active in death valley then, that will tell us that there are two plate tectonics colliding in the general area.

Question 2: I would ask what are the rock compositions in Death Valley. This would tell us the history of death valley and what happened before it was a desert.

Question 3: I would ask about how much rain Death Valley gets every year. This would tell us if there are mountains in the area of the desert.
