Week 4 - Volcanoes

Two years ago when I was studying abroad in Japan I decided to climb Mt. Fuji. Mt. Fuji is located on the island of Honshu and is the highest mountain in Japan. It's classified as a composite volcano, or stratovolcano, because it has a cone shape that is formed by layers of erupted materials such as cinders, ash, and lava flows. It's still considered to be an active volcano however according to scientists it has a low risk of eruption. Luckily for me the last recorded eruption of Mt. Fuji happened back in 1707.
